What can put a smile on my face fast?
Why baking, of course!
My countertop was put on Friday afternoon.
...On Saturday...
I made
apple walnut muffins
oatmeal and raisin cookies
and smaller versions of my special
{We ate one for Sunday breakfast and five more tea rings are in the freezer}
Flour was everywhere
I loved it!
Oh Yea!
Maria's baking again!
Have a JOY-Filled week dear ♥'s
Wishing you sunshine and smiles no matter the weather.
God's sweetest graces always,
Now that is putting those counters to good use, if you ask me!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they were wonderful!! So happy to hear about your countertops!! Can't wait to see the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteOh yes .... you put a smile on my face ! Maria is baking again in her new kitchen ! Spread the news girls ..... Maria is baking .
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the pictures mmmmmmmmmm
Last week I had the honour of babysitting little Eva all week during the days .
Her mother who is a stewardess had to do lessons all week to be allowed to fly again .
Tough for her to be apart of her little angel for five days on a row ! Since I am still at home I was the lucky one .
It was also SO VERY HEARTWARMING to see my son coming in the morning with his little treasure !
He already gave her her bath at home and she was bright and cheerful to be with me .
I cannot hold her and walk much but I put her in the maxi-cosey that fits on a pushchair ? I hope you know what I mean .
So we could have a wonderful time together . Oh how I enjoyed every minute .
She makes my broken heart melt and heal ....that's for sure !
Post is on its way Maria

Seeing your yummy baked muffins, cookies, and tea ring has put a smile on my face here in CO, too, Maria. I can't decide which I want to taste first! (The counter looks pretty!)
ReplyDeleteYahooo my friend...baking makes me so happy too...I could bake everyday all day long. I think I am in the wrong profession.. well maybe not but I do love to bake and eat! Your treats look amazing and those counter tops pure joy! I am sooooo happy for you. xoxoxox
ReplyDeleteNothing like a new counter top to break in with some baking! No new top, but I've been baking too!
ReplyDeleteMARIA!!!!!!!!!! YOU GOT YOUR COUNTER BACK??????? And what a way to INITIATE your new counterspace: BAKING! Oh how I long to have enough time to try your recipes; I had a killer diller good recipe once for the best OATMEAL WALNUT muffins...they were so good with tea. Dear one, thank you so much for that link to RTI. IN THEORY, it is great. IN PRACTICE, it really takes so much TIME and effort and hard work to make it happen. LIKE YOU, the one and ONLY thing that makes me smile these days are the children. They are the whole reason we are there....but so many issues are in the way. For us, as I am sure for you as well, cutting back on staff has made things ridiculously overwhelming for the teachers and the children. Our little fourth graders are operating in a middle school model by having to make many transitions during the day due to the fact that two of US (me and another teacher) are now not only French science and homeroom teachers, but also the English teachers. CHAOS rules the hallways. But my next blog post will echo, and not explicitly divulge the whole reason we teach.
ReplyDeleteNOW YOU GO AND ENJOY that fabulous new kitchen and dear one, THANK YOU, THANK GOD for the love that flows in this world...Anita
I see your new counter top and it is gorgeous!!!
