Add water and sunshine, then stir . . .

A Whirl of Wind and Rain

The Making of a Rainbow!
Photobucket
I left work a little late today.
It was gusty and I could see virga and rain in the distance.
Across the horizon, the skies were blue.
By the time I left the parking lot, the rain was upon me!
Then, the sun came out.
I had to stop in the nearest driveway to take these photos!
My camera was still in my purse from a retirement party
I attended last night.

Lucky!

As I got close to home, I passed this open field
and saw the storm front quickly blowing away over the horizon.
The very last of the  R A I N B O W was falling to Earth.

Enjoy the promise of all His blessings

Im back in town and it's almost weekend again. The Fall holiday went by too fast. I believe you will enjoy your Fall holiday soon? Or is that not common in the US? Anyway, have a most wonderful weekend, sweet Maria. It's chilly in the Netherlands, I must keep the fire burning and get out my comfy soft shoes. xxxx

  23. For quite a while I carried my cameras with me almost everywhere I went but after starting to read Anita's blog over at

    www.didyoubringyourcamera.blogspot.com

I carry them with me at ALL times!

I am so glad you were LUCKY and got the pictures--they are great!

And I am hoping that the retirement party went well also.

When I retired I had only been at my last school for 5 years so I really wasn't expecting a big "todo" but they gave me one of the nicest retirement parties anyone could ever have. That makes a person feel so good and just adds a stamp of validation to all the years of service they have rendered.

I know your retiree surely appreciated all your efforts. God bless you dear Maria.

    Love,
    Dianne
