Trying to keep His peace in my soul during this season when the world shouts at us to rush, rush.
Wishing to slow things down and listen to His whispers instead.

{The photo today is of our Christmas card from daughter, Amanda.}
A sweet card from a loved daughter...and I love these thoughts about peace. I love the feeling of peace in my life too and Jesus Christ is the source of great peace for me. :D
ReplyDeleteAmanda made a gorgeous card, that sweet little white bird on top is perfectly chosen as a symbol of fortune and peace.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your Sinterklaas wishes, sweet Maria. We have had a happy time, the children were feeling better enough to enjoy everything a lot. They sat down on Sinterklaas knee, sang a Sinterklaas song, then he read a few (funny) facts on the child and after that the child gets a present (bought by mom and dad). Sinterklaas asked mom and dad to sit down on his knee too, now that was fun for all the little ones!!
Much love to you sweetest friend. I will be hunting for a Christmas tree today. xxxx

ReplyDeleteHis peace is a precious gift Maria. I long for it too. He offers it with such love.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to hear from you ... I'm sorry I've not taken the time to read a lot of blogs ... but whenever I do ... I'm amazed at the the abundance of beautiful blogs. Just had a nice little visit here. Love the remeinder of peace during a hectic time. My mom fell and injured her shoulder badly ... I was with her this past night and helping her today... I need to take the peace God desires even in this situation. Thanks be to Him.
ReplyDeleteOh Maria, Sweet Maria...

How are you my dear friend? Is your dad still having a bit of respite with you? I am sure you are enjoying every single moment.
Blessings to you and your family as we celebrate this most perfect season...when hope first opened His tiny eyes and looked upon the world He knew He must save.

ReplyDeleteI fully understand your post, Maria, we are right in the middle of such pressurised month, I am also looking for peace and quiet, cannot wait until Christmas week. I promised myself to lock myself in a couple of days and just rest and retrieve that peace! Take care, hope your Dad is much better. Love, Lori xxx
ReplyDeleteDearest sweet Maria, I just put another cake in the oven, and honestly, I thought of YOU. The minute I had the pan in my hand to put it in the oven, I thought, would Maria already be owner of this cute pan?
