It was so much F U N to eat this treat
on Father's Day afternoonwith my Dad.
It's one of his favorite summer treats.
He is visiting us

...enjoying strawberry shortcake, watermelon,
sunshine
and most importantly

ReplyDeleteI am so glad to read your DAD is visiting you . He will be enjoying the happy family at your house a lot I think.
Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog .
Little Eva is bringing so much joy and we are all so blessed with her.
I think it's a great gift of life to be a grandmother and be able to enjoy all the sweetness of a new born all over again ......
Have a beautiful blue-sky week dear friend !
Ahhhhhhh! That was OUR treat, too! Shared with my father & mother following a leisurely game of dominoes!
ReplyDeleteI DIDN'T know it was a berry!
Maria dearest, THIS IS SUCH A GREAT IDEA....ICY MINT TEA?????? That sounds good just about now! The temps here are stable, but rain, rain, and MORE RAIN, but I can always use a refresher! AND YOUR COMMENT TO ME about my writing dearest.....SO INSPIRING AND HELPFUL and specific. FULL-CIRCLE...yes, that was MY INTENTION. I want to take my writing to new heights and the only way to do that is to practice specific techniques and of course, free inspiration and expression are always important, but I have operated on that for too long. I am happy that you noticed that detail of the story making a full circle. MERCI MON AMIE and wow, your school goes on pretty late compared to ours....you must start later than us, in MID=SEPTEMBER?
ReplyDeleteHAVE A GREAT WEEK OF FINISHING UP!!!! Anita
Well our Father's Day won't be until next weekend when Jake gets home. Have you ever made watermelon ice? It's a great way to use up any watermelon that doesn't get used. If interested in the recipe just email me. Glad you had a sweet weekend Maria!! Love Di ♥

ReplyDeleteI want to sketch and watercolor it.

We served watermelon as well..on the lake, at over 100 degrees! It was a great day for all of us to come together.
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day to your hubby...and now I want more watermelon.
Your icy mint tea sounds good, another idea to follow and try, Maria. I must admit I do not like melons that much, any kind of melon. But I do like refreshing, will make sure my week is a refreshing one. I think we are all counting down till Summer holidays...
