Here comes the Sun!

It's been a long winter
but finally
the sun has stayed out for more than a day.
How wonderful it feels to have the sun on my face
As I walk passed the creek I
see and hear
the ice
surrender to the sun

I celebrated by bringing out the tulips.

~ Goal for today ~
*)( bring home some real tulips )(*

Wishing you
sunshine on your shoulders
upon your face
and
on your path

  2. I love the light in the first photo. We have had some sun but although the sun remains we now have a bitterly cold north wind to contend with as well.

  3. I'll think of tulips today - unfortunately I have 3 days of work and 3 night classes so it's a bit of overload but I have a dreamy imagination. I'm thinking peachy pink tulips in a creamy mint greem vase. As for the sun... the warmth is on my face right now even though I'm in a windowless hectic high school health room....thanks for the ideas I believe in magic too! Jennifer

As I was talking to my mom in Maine -- via phone --she was delighted with the sun too--but she urgently needed to get back to her painting--knowing the sun had only surrendered for a short while.
I guess Sunshine in New York lingers here a bit longer than in Maine. Thank you Marie for capturing a touch of early Spring!!

  11. Still on the outlook ... no s u n. But there is a lot of sunshine indoors! You created these lovely tulips *)( *)(, your ideas are always full of sweetness, Maria.
I make sure to have 2 fresh bouquets of tulips, one in the kitchen and one in the living room, every week. Tulips are my favorite flowers. Your plates and cans are beautiful, those cute little birds in between are adorable. While I am typing I am looking at this sweet picture.
Have a happy merry lovely Thursday, dearest Maria xxxx

  12. TULPEN = dutch for tulips .
The stores have so so many tulips overhere . 5 euro for two bunches !
I am still into the hyacinth grapes and little daffodils .I love them from the very beginning from the bulbs until the die-back stage . And when realy realy nothing else is left I keep the bulbs for the next year !
Thanx for showing your sun ! Overhere raindrops decorate the bear braches ! Have a happy day !

  14. I bet you were pleased with that picture of the sun behind the trees.
    Lovely atmosphere.
Like your concept of tea(pot) having a dual image.

  15. After a long winter, sun on snow is probably sweeter than sugar on snow!

    The sky-seekers, some people say,
    Do not favor night over day;
    They always look up,
    The sky is their cup,
And keeping it full’s their cachet!

  20. There is nothing quite like the warm sun when you feel so cold! A gift from God...:)

Your snow photo and u-tube video are very beautiful!! We don't have scenes like that where we live, so I can truly appreciate it's beauty!

Your tulipware is sooo pretty!! Love those little white birds too. I have some that are very similiar.

Enjoy your weekend my dear friend!

    xoxo Gloria
