"try to be the light of the world"
or
"you could be the light of the world."
or
"you might someday be the light of the world."
He said,
"you ARE the light of the world."
Little by little, the the days grow longer and brighter.
Each additional minute of sunshine brings more light and joy.
Each additional minute of sunshine brings more light and joy.
Let us bring a transforming glow to the darkest parts of life.
Little by little, the world grows brighter and more loving because
You ARE
a light to me
and to
all.
Love,
~ MariaInspiration for this post came from the sermon last weekend.

ReplyDeleteThis is so wonderful! As Valentines Day comes to us we should all remember he also didn't say like most people... He said LOVE ONE ANOTHER in 20 different verses.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless Maria
Another wonderful post. Believe it or not, I put my tea candles on a black petit plate in a heart yesterday evening... I find myself telling my children almost every evening during diner, look it's not dark yet, Spring is arriving.
ReplyDeleteYour words are always perfectly chosen.

Yes and Amen...what a beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteNow for us all to go and light up the world with His glow!
Yes! Makes me think of the song...
ReplyDeleteThere is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a Spirit who brings fire
Ignites a candle and makes His home
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world
I know that you are a light to me..thank you for that! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Maria for being a light in my life for all these years. ;>)

ReplyDeleteLovely, Maria. I am among those counting the minutes of additional sun each day, now up to 2 1/2 minutes per day. And the added sun is like the light you describe -- it supplants an equivalent darkness, doubling its benign effect.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteLovely candles!
