Several years ago,
as my cousin's little girl and I walked passed a yard
filled with freshly fallen crabapple blossoms . . .
She looked up at me and exclaimed,
"Maria, there must have been a wedding here!
Look at all the flower petals!"
Every year, as the crabapple blossoms fall, I think of Sarah.
~ so sweet and innocent ~
and I smile.

...and now, more smiles!
The winner of my first giveaway is Ruth!
Congratulations Ruth from "It's true," sighed roo"
I know your wee ones will enjoy the kindness cupcake liners!
I hope you enjoy all the other goodies too, Ruth!
I wish you all fragrant paths and sweet spring memories.

Random.org and their random number generator
came in handy to determine a winner,
I counted everyone once.
{skipping over my sweet sister who stopped by a few times just to say hello}
That left 33 commentators in all.
Congratulations Ruth...What a nice thing to be the winner.
ReplyDeleteMaria the pictures and story of the wedding flowers is so cute.
Félicitations RUTH!!! I WANTED THAT PRIZE! teeeehehe....it is soooo sweet! AND I love these crabapple trees; in Massachusetts, they were everywhere and were a welcomed sign of spring. We have a pink one such as these in our front yard and the joy of seeing the pink gives me a tickle! Oh dearest, I would LOVE if you participated in the Paris link party! Let me know FOR SURE so I can put you on my list; I am putting names as they tell me so I can have my draft all ready for May 28th!!! HAVE A LOVELY DAY! Anita
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Ruth...happy week darling...love Ria...xxx...
ReplyDeleteLucky Ruth!
ReplyDeleteThe blossoms on our tree were different this year - they didn't cover the tree as completely as some years and were darker in color than I remember.
And now they are gone...downed by the rain and wind yesterday. Blossom time was short this year.

ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful saying indeed, it made me smile too. Petals do make us think of feast, don't they? Congratulations to Ruth, oh, she will be so so happy when opening your beautiful package. I adore all the treasures she is going to receive. A package from you a big JOY, sweet friend.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful memory and how wise she was to think of weddings with the petals. Congrats to your winner!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Ruth!! Enjoy Maria's sweet gift!! :)
ReplyDeleteDear Maria, Your photos here are so beautiful. What a sweet heart made from these pretty petals!!
I love that path,,,gorgeous!!
Thanks for your kind words about my roses (and wood birds). I wish I could offer a miracle nutrient for the roses. I don't fertilize mine or take care of them like I really should be. The aphids try to kill them, luckily the ladybugs and abundant sunshine we get here seem to make them still grow.
Have a wonderful week, dear friend.
Saying a prayer for your son in Texas tonight (and for you).
xoxo...Gloria

Lovely pics--apple blossoms (as in your next post) are always my favorite for so many reasons: the sight & scent of course; but also the sound of busy humblebees, the cyclic arousal from winter's dormancy, and the promise of luscious fruit.
