When something is missing in your life, it usually turns out to be Someone.

This Someone Special
This Someone Special
is our Shepherd
who leads us to green pastures,
beside quiet waters,
and restores our soul.
He guides us in paths of righteousness,
is always with us
and comforts us.
. . .
Surely goodness and love will follow us
all the days of our lives,
and we will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
all the days of our lives,
and we will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
- Psalm 23
Wishing you goodness and love
Wishing you goodness and love
all the days of
your life.
Blessings to you on this lovely Sunday,
~ Maria

Good morning, Maria! What a great quote to start the day with...
ReplyDeleteMy husband has adapted a well-known quotation to summarize his sermon this morning from Colossians 2. "If you don't stand for someONE, you'll fall for ANYthing." (It kind of reminds me of the quote you posted here.)
Oh my sweet friend...just what I needed to hear this morning..blessings for a Sunday filled with JOY! Joy in knowing our Heavenly Father is with us always. xoxoxoxxxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteThe 23rd psalm-I've been reciting that to myself ever since I discovered it as a kid. "My cup runneth over"-what a beautiful image and homage to the abundance of life.
ReplyDeleteScrolling through the beautiful posts I missed while absent from the blog sphere has had a wonderful calming effect just as your title intends :)

Blessings to you! Such a sweet reminder - also for monday!
ReplyDeleteMissed commenting on your lovely Sunday post and your beautiful deep dark Lilac, which must smell heavenly, Maria!
ReplyDeleteI've been studying that portion all week, especially the last verse...knowing that God is good enough to give goodness and mercy to Me all the day of My life. His mercy i snot just for one month or one year, but the rest of our lives. If this promise was good enough for David, I too, will be able to feel blessed and assured.
ReplyDeleteI love it when we feel hearts of intuition from God's scriptures.
Beautiful! Ps 23 is one of my favorites. When I was in Israel we walked in the Negev, "the valley of the shadow of death" and our guide did a gorgeous teaching on psalm 23.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, so many people who feel that they are missng something are really missing Someone! Thank you for pointing us in the right direction.
Bless you, Maria!

Sweet Maria!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting with me! I am excited to see all the participants on Saturday share their ideas of PARIS! We had quite a scare here in Minneapolis on Sunday; just about 20 miles north of where I live, a BAD TORNADO HIT. MANY TREES and homes were destroyed leaving 2 people dead. Life is precious and so short....let us all remember the joys. Thank you for your kindness!!! Anita
That is my favorite verse...it is always good to hear it. I hope you are having a good week!
ReplyDeleteDear Maria,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful reminder for all of us! I am so glad He is with us by our side. And also, that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We are so blessed with His love and care for us!
Thank you for stopping by my blog and for your kind thoughts and sweet words! I appreciate you!
xoxo...Gloria
