Bird Songs

More birds are arriving daily.
I hear them singing outside my windows.
On the way to my car in the morning, I hear them singing in the trees
and I want to turn back around and stay home to listen.

Soon they will be nesting.
I'm wondering what trees they will choose,
perhaps the front porch again this year.
~
In the meantime, I am enjoying these beautiful handmade joys from
Elizabeth's Etsy Shop,

Thank you, Elizabeth!
I love my "nesting blocks" and bird songs banner!

~

Wishing for warmer temps and steady sunshine,
to get that snow all melted
and make things cozier for our returning feathered friends
and for those tiny little buds on my apple trees.
Have a magnificent week friends!

  11. I love the adorable cut-out birds by Elizabeth. Thank you for your kind wish for steady sunshine, but we are under a winter storm warning in the mts of CO, and it also snowed in the city. (Sigh...)

  12. Elizabeth made some unique and sweet blocks, Maria. I love the banner too! It looks rather petite, so so cute.
You displayed the blocks pretty with the white birds.

I read over at Francis' that Jason will be moving to Texas. If I am not mistaken, Texas is not quite next door to NY. Does lovely Jason know about that, hee hee
You enjoy every precious moment, sweet sweet Maria. On the other hand, I am sure you will.

Well, I am off to bed early, I wish there were more hours in a week....

  14. We have had lots of sunshine the past few day, but very cold temps. Makes no matter to the birds, though. They are singing their little hearts out! We also have tufted titmice for the 1st time! So dang cute!

A wild yellow canary showed up in my feeder today... it was a gift from above as it sang its song. I hope he comes back tomorrow.

  20. Good morning precious Maria! Thank you so much for stopping by with your kind words. I love my harp! And I also enjoy the birds. They have finally decided they were going to come and start singing amidst the cold temps. But our snow is finally melting away and soon we shall have robins making their nests in our garden. Last year we had the pleasure of watching MRS. ROBINSON make her nest and give birth to two BATCH of children!!! It was such an educational experience. We are fortunate to have a little SPEAK EASY window at our front door and we had front-row-center viewing night and day. She just stared our way and keep hunkered down!

I LOVE YOUR BIRD THEME!!! Enjoy a lovely day, Anita

Now I will lay me down to sleep and wait for those morning tunes to waken me...I've heard there tunes also.

  24. oooh, i love these blocks!

you asked how i painted my kitchen cabinets and i could not respond via email, so i will tell you here...

i used a roller and a brush. i was worried with the roller at first not being smooth, but when it dried it was fine. just get a foam that is for smooth surfaces.

thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
