Springtime hearts, flowers and love

Stopping along the way to look up
smell the blossoms
breath deeply
celebrate love
be joyful

Our oldest daughter, Amanda,
is getting married this summer.
This past Saturday, the women in our family
and her closest friends had the best time ever.
Can you tell we had a "beach" theme!

The memory jar was a joy to create.
Each flower girl chose a special stone to put inside.
Rachael and I added seashells, sea glass, sand dollars and her favorite
east and west coast photos.

A really big hit were the Lightly Lemon Cupcakes {in the collage}
A super easy recipe from Bisquick.
They are sooo light and lemony!
These chocolate / almond cupcakes and Nutter Butter flip-flop cookies were fun too!

What a snapshot is to your life,
your life is to eternity,
so wouldn’t it be nice if eternity captured you smiling?

~    ~    ~Wishing you springtime joy!
God bless you always,

What great ideas - the memory jar, clever flip-flops, and tempting cupcakes :)

I enjoyed the photos of all the blossoms. Seems this spring has had some of the best in my memory (but maybe I think that EVERY spring....)!

Maria, the memory jar is so very lovely! Going to copy this idea when Summer arrives and we set sail to a beach. You must be very busy in mind these days for the upcoming wedding, how exciting! xx

Maria what a lovely post, full of pretty inspiration and sweet treats. Your photo mosaics are cute, what program are you using for them?
Am slowly getting back into the blogging routine and catching up with favourite places to visit.

I cannot wait for you to write about your daugther getting married ......
You have had a lot to celebrate these days and I think it's wonderful to be just Maria and no teacher for now .
I am at home (no more teaching ) for almost three years now and I can say I have done a lot of work to rebuild myself .
I am now in peace being just me ....
Little Eva is my blessing .
To watch her grow is beyond words .
If your children keep living so far apart I say .....move to them when you are to be a grandmother !
haha I hope you know I mean well .
Happy summer holidays Maria

I grew up in L.A., but the fun of family AND the sunshine lives always in my mind. I wish you well and I got a job teaching 9th and 12th grade French! HERE WE GO to meetings at the end of August...Anita

Maria, I cannot find your E-mail address, though I think I have it. I just wanted to stop by and say "hello." I hope school is going well. I have 3 Grands who are 5th graders this year - they all have great teachers. I'm thinking you're enjoying the beginnings of fall there in NY state. Denver hasn't started yet, but the mountains are at peak and starting to fade already because of our snow.

All is well here. I hope the same for you.
