My photos today are from the gardens around the home
of my father-in-law, Gerry and his sweet wife, Ann.
They helped organize a huge family picnic
celebrating all the July birthdays!

In summer, the song sings itself.
~William Carlos Williams

Wishing you a beautiful song
that lasts all summer long.

  1. Oh Maria, that FRUIT speaks to me! I can eat nothing BUT all summer long. WATERMELON is good now and my favorite are grapes, but this year, I can't get the good green ones that are so reminiscent of my childhood in California....are you having fun? I CERTAINLY AM!

    ENJOY MY FRIEND! Anita

  6. Precious friend,

Oh how I would love to meet you! Are you Hispanic by any chance? You have a lovely Latina look to you!

Your visit to my home is a delight. Your words are so so kind and I am overwhelmed by the joy that people have given me by commenting so sincerely about our efforts. Yes, LOVE, and JOY, pride in the environment where we make our nest and vision is what makes us TICK! We moved out here due to Ruben's job...we came from Massachusetts. But we knew that we could never live there but we have made a real home in Minneapolis and after 15 years, it has really been a blessing. I LOVE MY JOB at the French immersion school, speaking of which...OH DEAR! At the end of August....school starts again! NOOO! But there is still time...yeah!

Out to Lowe's today dearest? Oh, Home Depot, Lowe's and our local MENARDS, they know us very well!

Much love to you and come anytime for a cup of tea or WATERMELON SORBET!!!

Que notre Seigneur Jésus te bénisse aussi! TOI ET TA FAMILLE, VOUS TOUS! Anita

  11. Hello,
I visited your blog today. I saw you on Castles, Crowns, and Cottages. Isnt' Anita lovely? Your blog is so pretty, charming, and peaceful. I love tea time. It is so soothing on a hectic day. Me and my daughters just started a new blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. We recently did a post in June on "Tea Time." I would enjoy coming back to visit with you and seeing all your wonderful ideas. Hope to hear from you, and have a beautiful week.

  17. Oh how beautiful...

I thought I had lost my small hygrangea plant with the summer heat, but it fought back, with a lot of love and water, and now is looking wonderful. It has blue blooms and I cannot wait to have a bouquet of them on my table.

The treat idea on the tables for the family picnic is so cute. I think I'll copy this~~next time we have a backyard party.
