Earth with Heaven rejoices

See the land, her Easter keeping,

Rises as her Maker rose.

Seeds, so long in darkness sleeping,
Burst at last from winter snows.

Earth with heaven above rejoices...
Charles Kingsley

  4. I LOVE your post, Maria. Spring flowers peeping out carefully in cheery colors, I like this time of year very much. Frost is expected during nights, I do hope the flowers will survive. Looking at the weather forecast for NY I see SUN SUN SUN. Enjoy, dearest friend.
My week will be filled with all kind of little things relating to Easter like coloring the eggs and I found a cute craft package for birdie necklaces, bring on the rain, we are ready ^.~
    Lots of love,

  5. Hello my sweet Maria
Seeing there is a comment from you always makes me so happy .
Every time Eva is here we use the beautiful bibs you made for her and me . And I think of you !
Blogging has made my life so much more beautiful.
I have found soulmates all over the ocean !
I am at home now for more than a year now and I have to see it will not happen anymore ...me at school.
At first and for a long time only thinking of it was too hard ....
    I kept hoping for a mirracle .
So I did not see what was happening .
I am 61 and I was a mother with four beautiful children without a husband since 1992 .
I worked fulltime and tried to be the best mother and the best teacher .
The thing I was not very good in was taking care of myself .
I always went on from one day to the other .
My former husband disappeared . moved to France and he lost all contact with his children
I still cannot understand such a thing .
he did not pay a dime and we were on our own.
My children have become wonderful people .
They are addults now and do well .
Sometimes I worry what the abcense of a father will do for them.....
My youngest son was 4 and he has no memories of his father .
Maria that is SO what I never imagened .....
I always had this dream of this happy family .....
Now being at home and school more and more behind me
There is so much to think and experience .
Where am I , what do I like , What are the things I am good in as Francis , not as a mother or teacher ....
There is this great gift Eva in my life .... she is my sunshine .
I know you will be a wonderful grandmother one day .
Happy easter for you and your loved-ones

  6. WHOAH, is that one beautiful PRAISE!!!!! My goodness, and the photos are so fitting!

MARIA MY FRIEND! I sure miss you. Dearest, your comment to me was so well received this morning. YES, when I am off of my spring break this week, I too return to the dreaded MCA (the Minnesota Comprehension Assessments) and those poor kids are getting a boatload full of information. But what is striking is the parents that HINGE their child's future on these test scores. Do you know that seeing a dip in some kids' scores the other day on another test was the breaking point at which I decided to choose to do what I did?

I agree with you wholeheartedly. The system is going too fast for anyone to enjoy teaching and learning and to thrive. I am just grateful that it FEELS like it is my time to move on.

PEACE TO YOU MY DEAR and enjoy your day! Anita

  10. My friend calls flowers that pop up in random places (like that one little Pansy) "God's Garden." I'm wondering if all these flowers are blooming right now in your yard. If so, you must be smiling! Happy Easter week, Maria.

  14. Beautiful friend,

    Ah yes....Grace.

I need it every day, every moment, every second. I have been on spring break and on Monday, return to school. I know I have only 2 months left of a career I thought I would retire from, and if my current plans do NOT work out, I just may find myself at the mercy of Grace to get back to teaching. But I will first press on to see if there is a place for me at the end of the art/writing rainbow.

Peace and JOY in the knowledge of HIS RESURRECTION!!! Anita
