There's a little one with racing stripes!Lots of rabbits make themselves at home here.
I think it's because there is an abundance of clover. (and no chemicals)Having a little birdie snack after all the sparrows have gone to bed.

I took this photo at dusk.
Love the little Chipmunk. Unfortunatly the second last picture did not come up.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Maria,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all of the wild life in your yard! My favorite one was the rabbit eating, so cute. And watching the birds is always enjoyable for me too!
Love Di
Mostly we have birds...and they need to be ever watchful of our 4 cats who just LOVE birdie treats! Lots of bunnies too. In the winter the bunnies love my garden. They have eaten and destroyed more rose bushes than I care to count. Who knew bunnies liked thorns?
ReplyDeletewow! you live in a little patch of heaven. beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMaria, what a great series of photographs! Your yard is providing a wilderness habitat for so many creatures. I enjoyed you video - can't feed the birds during the summer here because of the bears - I liked watching your busy feeders.
ReplyDeleteAll things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small...right there in your backyard!
ReplyDeleteHi Maria...You seem to enjoy the same things in nature that I do...I have triplet fawns that visit too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a peaceful, beautiful spot you have Maria. I miss seeing little chipmunks! I remember camping in Vermont once, and the cute little things came and ate right out of our hands.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your backyard.
How thoroughly enjoyable!! What a lovely backyard in which to have so much of God's creation visit.
ReplyDeleteWe had a mourning dove meandering peacefully along at the base of the feeder until a visitor with racing strips showed up slinking along the ground trying to be unnoticed. She was very surprised to see him out of nowhere and that was obvious if not comical.
What would we do without the simply sweet entertainment of these little critters! Thanks to all who stopped by ~ Maria
ReplyDeleteTriplet fawns, that's amazing! We lived near in Troy & Mecklenburg (near Ithaca) once upon time, and I fondly remember the lush hardwood forests with a high carrying capacity. When we told people in Montana (20 yrs ago) we moved from NY, they were "It's all pavement there, right?" Hah.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are! I am too. I live downtown in a metro area of 390+ thousand, but thanks to a nearby drainage canal, I see herons, raccoons, nutria, and even river otters right outside my door.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I have to say I love the one of Misty Carlos. I also love all the creatures who wander through =) Especially Ralph generation 12 probably. How wonderful God is to put such peaceful critters into our lives, many of whom bring us solitude and comfort.
