He whispers

"The Lord said,
“Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord,
for the Lord is about to pass by.”

Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart
and shattered the rocks before the Lord,
but the Lord was not in the wind.

After the wind there was an earthquake,
but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

After the earthquake came a fire,
but the Lord was not in the fire.

And after the fire came a gentle whisper.

When Elijah heard it,
he pulled his cloak over his face and went out
and stood at the mouth of the cave."

1 Kings 19:11-13

How I need to remember that the anxiety that looms over me in unnecessary when it grows into an uncontrollable monster. The peace that floods my mind and heart are HIM. He HAS given us an internal meter to gauge what is the right path...to each and every one of us. PEACE is the path....thank you precious Maria! Anita

You are so amazing to always know how to surprise our souls with the right words.
Do you know the storybook :
OLD TURTLE by Douglas Wood ?
about Who is God ?
is he a wind that never is still ?
Is he a rock that never moves ?
Is he high above or here among us ?
Old turtle answers : God is all of these things.
It is my most favorite book .
Thank you for reminding me to listen !

Hi Maria Sweetie...
A beautiful post this evening. I received such a warm, loving touch on my heart. Thank you so much. Your photo was the perfect one for this share. Thank you sweetie.

This is the Miracle Weekend makeover. I am one of the hosting sites. For every comment left, Guideposts magazine will pay a dollar, to the next cancer makeover patient. Please stop by and read the story about 9 year old Charlie, and bless me with a comment. Out goal between the 4 or 5 blogs is 5,000. I know we can do it. I would appreciate it, if you pass the word around to as many friends as possible.

Thank you sweetie for a wonderful post. I love it. Have a glorious weekend. Country hugs from Phoenix, Sherry
