Be a Lily in the Valley

We do the most for God's great big world,
when we do our best right
where we are.

"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment
before starting to improve the world."
 Anne Frank

Now is that moment
to be a lily in the valley.

  4. Lovely words Maria. I forgot all about Lily of the Valley. When I was a girl I loved them so much.
    Something I should look for.

  5. Sweet, sweet words Maria.
I was just reminiscing with my Mom about the lilies of the valley that grew at our old home when I was a girl. They don't grow here in Texas and I miss their sweet, delicate beauty. Thanks so much for sharing these.

  8. MARIA!!!!!!

My dear heart, I am so happy to see you! It sounds as if you have had a MARVELOUS weekend so far by going mountain hiking! Oh yes, we need to get away from the crazy hecticness of work and SOON my sweet, we will all be in a blissful state of SUMMER!

Our students' last day is June 6 and us teachers work until June 8. It is a happy time for me because I know that I will not have to return to the extra responsibilities of being a homeroom teacher. BUT I DO have to learn about how to be a SUB. Subs always get DISSED and I will need to know how to capture the respect we all want and need to get through a day, not as a babysitter or guardian, but as a real teacher!

Are you in the middle of assessments ? Oh the paper work!

I wish you blessings of peace and STAMINA to get through the next several weeks my dear and I AM PUTTING YOU ON THE LIST FOR THE PARIS PARTY!!

    Bisous! Anita

  10. When I was little, we had these special little flowers growing down one entire side of our house. I used to pick them for my mom. Just last week I finally bought some to plant as I've never had my own. There is something about them that is peaceful to me...your photo and your lovely words only add to that peace.

  11. Oh what a sweet photo...love lily of the valley...I think I need to plant some...perfect for shady areas and we have lots of those around here.
What is you last day of school? I know Anita is done soon. We have until the end of June so a few weeks to go. If only our weather would sunny up as we have so many outdoor activities we need to get through.
Sending you oodles of love and energy for the last little bit. Hugs xoxoxoo

  13. My darling friend,

Ohhh, summer is teasing us here, for the weather has been SO GORGEOUS and rain has been in the picture, but only at NIGHT!!!! So as I reluctantly go off to school in the morning, my garden calls me as it is lush and moist, fragrant and perfect. But soon my sweet, we will ALL be on our much needed vacations. I so hope that you will be able to enjoy some real CALM ENERGY this summer to revitalize. I am actually getting out of my teaching position at a very interesting time. The school year for 2012-2013 looks to be even MORE demanding and ever-changing. That is TOO much for me. I so hope your students are treating you well; mine are out of control (the whole fourth grade class in fact) and so I will need a SPA TREATMENT to regain my wits!!!!!!!!

Hugs to you precious Maria! Anita
