Picasa Picnik

We had a beautiful sunset the other night.
...the kind that makes me run back into the house for my camera...
to snap a few Sky Watch photos.

Tonight, I decided to add a little Picasa twist to one of the sunset photos.

{pencil sketch}

{focal black and white}

{vignette in blue}

{original}
{that was fun!}

The northeast has been enjoying some beautiful days.
It reached 50 degrees {F} this week!
I love coming home from work, putting on my sneakers {instead of boots}and heading
outside for a glorious walk.

I keep thinking back to last winter with 7 foot snow mounds along the sides of my driveway.
Who knows how long we'll get to keep this weather trend!?!
I'll enjoy it while it lasts... for sure!

“People don't notice whether it's winter or summer when they're happy.”
 Anton Chekhov

Enjoy this first weekend of Fbruary everyone!
Are you baking anything sweet?

I really must learn how to do more with my photographs Maria! These are wonderful.
I'm so glad you're having a milder winter. It's been lovely here too - we've even gotten some good rains!
Next month would be a lovely time to visit Texas :-) There should be a good show of Blue Bonnets this year (she said hopefully).

Good evening precious!

WHEW....another day, another whirlwind of fun, discipline, persuasive essays, French vocabulary and so on. You know the scene! AND WE ALL HAVE our morning routines don't we, before we head out to school! My favorite? Coming to Blogland. TOMORROW IS FRIDAY!!!!!! We made it dearest, we made it. And prayer, oh dear, that is really the key to keep us sane.

ENJOY YOUR EVENING and thank you so much for coming!! Anita

Making changes with God's sunsets huh...messing around with Mother Nature, watch out! LOL That would be cool to have it all a different color each night! I like that quote at the end too. :D

I really liked all of the pictures. The pencil one was really interesting. If I had to choose, I don't think I could, I liked them all that much!
We too have had this beautiful weather Maria. I started cleaning out my car yesterday with a jacket on and had taken it off within two minutes. It was 61 and sunny here!
Ah, if only it would stay all winter long, no?
Love Di ♥

I like your sky experiments, Maria! While Denver is getting pounded by a blizzard today, we barely got a dusting in the mountains. It's been one strange winter for us. (I hope it doesn't all come in the spring!)

Greetings my sweet friend!
Such fabulous snappy fun...Picnik is the photo program that I use, but apparently they are closing their doors...Yikes! I am so computer illiterate. I will have to give Picasso a try.
What a perfectly wonderful "February Quote"...love to you dear one...xoxo..Rosie

Hasn't it been wonderful? I've been out walking the pup without a coat until the past few days. We had a slight dusting of snow yesterday morning but it was quickly gone and while it is chilly today...I still don't need a hat or gloves! Love it and your photos are fun!
