That's an Eagle - We've got to turn around!

eagle for Dad's Birthday 9.2009

Last Saturday, on route 23 in central NY, my husband spotted the eagle perched on this dead tree.
It meant only one thing.
Turn around QUICK! It's always worth it!

  1. Lucky you Maria...I have never seen an Eagle in the wild...although earlier in the summer something large flew over and seemed to have a white head...but can not be sure of what it was! Thank you for your thoughtful and kind comments Maria!

  6. How exciting Maria. We saw an eagle perched on a bale of hay last year when we were bike riding. I couldn't believe it at first. We just stopped and looked in wonder until he spread his big wings and took off.

  14. Marvelous! Eagles were once nearly extinct in the lower 48, and their now almost common presence is a great lesson in halting environmental damage and valuing wild nature.
