{Rachael & Juan rescued a puppy this fall ~ his name is Timber!}

Couldn't resist Brava Rooster!
Ever since I saw them on Anita's blog, "Far Above Rubies"
I've been wishing for them.
I ordered 8 dinner plates and later, 8 soup bowls.
I picked up four Brava cream mugs for smaller gatherings.
Mikasa and Pfaltzgraff had great sales just before Christmas!
Someday, it would be fun to get a few more and a fun Rooster centerpiece!
Thank you for the inspiration!

Bless you ~ one and all ~
I hope you had a wonderful and peaceful Christmas
filled with comfort and JOY
and a
Happy New Year too!

Enjoying Tablescapes Thursday at Susan's "Between Naps on the Porch"
My other dishes are a winter favorite:  Sango's Silent Night.
My sister and I split three sets many years ago.
The sweet little "gift" plates are from Harry and David.  They were great for my little nieces.

  3. Love your roosters Maria!! I know you had a wonderful time with family! Luis tried calling his parents in Puerto Rico Christmas eve only to find out they were in the middle of a 5.8 earthquake there, but he finally reached them Christmas day. We miss them a lot.
    Do you celebrate Los Tres Reyes Magos??

  10. Good morning dearest dear, are we enjoying our cup of tea together right now? You start your days with a warm and cozy cup of coffee, I remember, as I do so too.
    Your tableware is very happy, gathered beautifully in your cozy home. I really do love your chairs, Maria, as well as the walk through to the room with the cozy couch and that cutest Mr. bear family. It clearly shows that you and your gorgeous family have had a wonderful Christmas.
    And now we are getting ready for welcoming 2011. We will be spending the weekend in the Efteling. That's a rather large amusements park here in the Netherlands. We will be staying in a little house, balloons and a big cake will be awaiting us ^_^
    Have yourself a happy celebrating too, sweet sweet Maria. I am wishing YOU a most wonderful New Year already, but will most certainly pop by on New Years day (should internet not work, then I will pop by Jan 3)
    Your comment on my last post is one I will remember for ever!!
    Lots of Love to you, M*A*R*I*A xxxx

  11. Your Christmas celebration looked and seemed wonderful! I love the playfulness of the table. I used to do a Children's Table when my kids and nephews were little, but now they are all grown up. Those things are cyclical, though, and I can't wait for a new generation to start up so I can do it again. May you have a very happy new year!

  12. I love the Rooster, though I'm more of an holly and ivy girl, myself. We too, had a grand time.

    Thank you so much for reading my blog this year; I enjoyed your comments.

    Wishing you & family a Great New Year. :)

  17. Oh Maria, your babies are so lovely.
    Isn't it wonderful to have them all together? I am sending my daughter and my dear mom home tomorrow morning...sad to have to "call it a day" as we have had so much fun together. My son will stay a bit longer, {so his old mom won't go into withdrawal quite so baddly.}
    ...and school is just around the corner for you, dear girl...I am sure your students miss you a ton. Savor these last few days my sweet friend, with much rest and relaxation. Have a wonderful New Years my dear, dear friend. Thank you for this special kinship you have shared with me this last year. I am so very blessed each and every time I drop over for a visit...hugs
