Two Birds in the Bush

Two Birds in the Bush
is worth
one
sweet sky watch
*
I didn't notice the sun-sparkled tree until I looked at this photo.
It reminds me of the quote at the beginning of the book Journey, by Patricia MacLachlan
{Photography is a tool for dealing with things everybody knows about but isn't attending to.}
~  Emmet Gowin ~
Our sweet Robins return.
and
The Blackbirds sing.
{The breeze in the trees made it tough for the zoom to keep focus}
a sweet birdsong
I gather these
and they warm my soul
as I watch the last drops of winter flow away
{hopefully}

Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this weekend puts a spring in your step!

Rose Petal Inspirations

Love is like a rose.
When pressed between two lifetimes,
it will last forever.

"If you stand in front of a mirror with 11 roses,

you'll see 12 of the most beautiful things in the world."

Have a beautiful week, dear ♥'s

Walking into Springtime

The week started with blue skies and
there's no resisting a walk among the new life of
Spring
Sweet pussy willows are opening to the sky with their feathery soft buds

I pass this sweet little creek on every walk through the village.
The melting snow forms an upside down heart shape.
{I like looking out for ♥'s}

*  *  *
This little squeaky fire hydrant is Misty's "baby."
She adores it.
She will not accept any imposters, but doesn't know what to make of this giant version that we pass by on our walks!
Sometimes Misty looks like a baby ewok {Star Wars}

Wishing you Many Wonderful Springtime Moments!

A Little Wedding Chit-Chat

My sister recently said:  "Maria, you're so calm!"
It's only a few months away now ~ I hope she can still say the same three months from now!

Some bridal shops are just for looking.

Kind of like test driving a Ferrari.
Luckily she found a beautiful dress while in NYC...with the help of her future sister-in-law, Kim.

*
...Oh!  Look at this...
$1,200  for  a  veil!
I think my mouth opened and words came out,
What could this possibly be made of?
We'll find a beautiful but affordable one soon.

Rachael has been incredibly organized.
She has an Excel spreadsheet that has every detail of the wedding listed and tallied.
If one expense goes up, something else goes down.
She has tried realllllly hard to keep the cost way down.
*
Here's a perfect example of how well she saves but finds what she's dreaming of.
This is a "Cinderella Dress" on sale at JC Penny's.
The flower girls will be wearing this.
$35
*
We'll be talking flowers soon.
Simplicity is the word.

Amanda and I are busy with shower plans.
We're thinking of a brunch or lunch menu.

*
I know many of you are either experts at party planning...
or have had weddings in the family.
Oh how I would LOVE any ideas you have!

Blessings and Joy
to all,

A Beary Nice Sky Watch

 "Honey Bear"
"Yes, Sweetie Bear"

"Do you think I can make Spring come sooner
by changing into my springtime outfit?"
"Well, I got out of my Winter clothes too and donned my Spring bow-tie."

"Here Sweetie, let's have a second cup of coffee.
It  will  help  shake  off  that  hibernation fog we  still  feel."
"I do appreciate how you bring me coffee at dawn."

"Oh look Honey Bear... It's working!
The Spring SUN is shining its way through those chilly winter clouds!"
"Sweetie Bear ♥ It's a March Sun!"

"Let's wait a month or so before we wake up the cubs ;o)"
Have a beary wonderful weekend dear ♥'s

Springtime ~ we're calling!

Come
~*~ Spring ~*~

Come

The robins have returned
and are still a bit shy.
They aren't used to this bird lover-
paparazzi
who trades photos for seed.
I can't wait for their springtime adventures in my trees.
Right now
I'm content to watch them feast on the crabapple trees in my yard.
There's still lots of snow piled high...
and they're predicting light snow tomorrow & Thursday.

But I can feel that spring is on its way.

~ and then ~

Emily Dickinson
reminds me with her poetry.

A Light exists in Spring
Not present on the Year
At any other period —
When March is scarcely here

A Color stands abroad
On Solitary Fields
That Science cannot overtake
But Human Nature feels.

It waits upon the Lawn,
It shows the furthest Tree
Upon the furthest Slope you know
It almost speaks to you.

Then as Horizons step
Or Noons report away
Without the Formula of sound
It passes and we stay —

A quality of loss
Affecting our Content
As Trade had suddenly encroached
Upon a Sacrament.

Come
~*~ Spring ~*~

Come

We need you.
