"Silver Lining"---A SkyWatch Video *5-15-09*

This weekend we had an early season thunderstorm...
As it started to pour, I ran out front with my camera.

The view in front of my eyes was so sweet...
thick clouds ~ emptying themselves.
trees ~ soaking up all the moisture
sky ~ emerging ... teasing us for a sunny day


blooms ~ with raindrops that sparkled
I snapped several photos and took a short one minute video of the cloudburst.

ps. It's raining again here... after a glorious week~

    We had our thunderstorm around 2am...scared the wits out of me! Thunder and lightening and rain...oh my! Our doofus dog Beau scratches at our bedroom door to be let in...he doesn't like thunder!! Kittens slept right through it, tho!

    Thanks Maria for that. Watched the video - it's funny, an everyday event looks so miraculous when our attention is really brought into focus.

    You can almost hear the plants and trees sucking in the water.
