Taking Care of You!

As we are taking care of others
and so many of us do
remember to spend
a little extra time
taking care
of you!
I thought of my mother, in her younger years...
and spent the evening looking through old albums.

I could almost hear her whisper

Take care of yourself, Maria!

  3. Oh, Maria, (blubbering and wiping liquid off my keyboard) this is so tender. And the pictures of your mom are classic--I love, love, love the dress in that second picture.

Yes, dear Maria, please take care of yourself and remember Zep. 3:17, He is rejoicing over you with singing.

  4. Oh I so so agree...we do need to take the time. Life can be way too busy sometimes...love your reminder today. Off to see the Olympic Women Russian figure skating team practice...just down the street from me..2 mins. away! xoxo

  5. Those old photos of your mother are priceless, Maria. Yes, she'd want you to take time, renew your own energy, gather stillness and peace around you, so you can minister to and teach others more effectively. It's special to "know" what your mother would say - I feel my own mother's wisdom coming through to me sometimes, too. It makes missing her more bearable.

  7. My mom would of echoed the same words...and I guess that's what we're doing up here on the ski hills, the the two of us and it's a whiteout and so I'm catching up with some knitting....ah...it feels so good and I love those photos of your mother. I found one last week also and can't wait to post it.

  9. Wise words Maria. Don't you love the way our Mom's always dressed up no matter where they were going and looked so lovely? I just love looking at old pictures.
It is so sweet to read the words your Mom would most certainly be saying to you - what she does say to you in your heart.
Oh Maria, this is so sweet.
