inspiratie online {inspiration online}

Have you met Saskia?
She shares the beauty of her world at Join My Joy?
*
Well, a few weeks ago, she sent me a lovely magazine.
Inside was a lot of inspiratie!  {inspiration}
I enjoyed all the photos, but I also enjoyed trying to figure out the meaning of all the Dutch words!
I could guess some of the them on my own... but I wanted to learn more!
{thank goodness for Google translator.}

*

fris and  fruitig  = fresh and fruity

waterbloem  =  water flower
tweede kans  nieuwe look voor de witte lampenkap = second chance new look for the white lampshade
 Photobucket
dahlia in blauw   =  dahlia in blue
 de bloemetjes buiten  =  the flowers outside

*
binnenkijken  =  look inside
veel inspiratie bij persoonlijke winkels = much inspiration from personal shopping

liefde voor natuur  =  love for nature
Photobucket

van het veld naar je huis de kleur van lavendel =
from field to your house the color of lavender

Photobucket
uit de provence
uit = from, of

And how about these phrases:

oog voor detail
eye for detail

uit eigen boomgaard
from your own orchard

Thank you for all this fun and inspiratie, Saskia.
I learned so much!

  7. Lavender has always been my favorite color--well, ever since this boy (who looked like a turtle when he left) from my little country church went off to California for a year and a half and lo and behold, was a swan when he came back. When he showed up at church in a lavender shirt the color of these pictures, I was a goner--well, for a few years. He returned my teen-aged infatuation for a while--oh, I think I got side-tracked--

    anyway, beautiful layout on the magazine--

    praying for you that school goes well--I think it is awesome that you guys start after labor day--we used to do that when I was small--I think the heat here in Arkansas has something to do with the early starts and mid-spring finishes--but I would trade early June heat for August roastings any day.

    Hope you have a great school year.

    Love,
    †Dianne

  8. Beautiful photos, Maria! The magazine looks so lovely.

    Thank you for your prayers for our sweet Lucy. She is doing well considering she was only diagnosed five days ago. The doctors have assured us that it will get easier within a few weeks.

    How is school going this year? I hope and pray you have a blessed year as you teach, encourage, and care for your students. God bless!
