A little bird told me . . .

Your presence is required

to hear God's whispers.
~

A few things I love about
birds
the sound of birds singing and chirping in my yard
the surprise of the hummingbird as it hums near me while I garden
the friendly chickadees and sparrows
the soft coo of the mourning doves

Valerie Pfeiffer's sweet prints

The sound of birds stops the noise in my mind.
Carly Simon

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
and never stops at all.
Emily Dickenson

 Look at the birds of the air;
they do not sow or reap or store away in barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they?
  Matthew 6:26

  11. Maria, I hope you had a nice Sunday, and I hope your father is doing well! My husband thinks we should definitely try coconut in the cake, lol. He loves coconut. He really misses Puerto Rico and his family, so I have to do whatever I can to bring it here for him!

  18. Birds & bird song touch a very deep place in our human souls. I have a birder friend who walks around with a bird-song loaded Ipod, practicing her bird whistles the way some folks practice with Rosetta Stone language files.
