My Manna from Heaven

Apples I dreamed about in January
are dripping from the
branches where
the blossoms
used to
be

We gather them
imperfect
but pure and sweet
and
beautiful in their "mother's" eyes.
~ My manna from Heaven ~

Dad's here for our backyard apple harvest.
He can't peel them...but he will help us eat them!!!

Have a sweet week all of you
-the apples of my eye!

  1. Ahhh...there is nothing like picking an apple off a branch that is so heavy with goodness, that it murmurs "thank you" as you remove it...oh, to polish it on your shirt and take that first bite....Mmmmmm....
How is your dad doing? Is he content to let you dote on him?...oh dearest, know that I am praying for you all daily...sending you a hug...love Rosie

  3. Those are the most beautiful apples I've ever seen. Are they really pink like that or is my monitor screen messed up--they are luscious.

I thought it was so cute of you to show your dad your blogger friends. Please tell him I am so happy to meet him, I am praying for him, and give him a great big hug for me.

    Love you dear friend,
    Dianne

B e a u t i f u l apples! It must be a great feeling to pick apples in your own backyard. Will you make some special out of all these beauties?
My children dream the words 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away'. I find myself telling this almost every time they eat an apple.

  10. Hey there Maria...
Yes, Lizzy and I had a good girly time...Depending on which seasonal show I am attending,I definitely go with a game plan...sometimes I deviate from said plan, but this time I was finishing up Christmas...am so excited!!! Just want to throw it together as soon as it arrives. Our colors in the shop will be Silver, White, Crystal, Champagne and turquoise.
Even pick up a few Turquoise chandeliers to sprinkle throughout...YIPPEE!
Your Dad seems to be coping well...ahhh....you must be so relieved. Will continue to pray for my dear, dear friend...love Rosie
