A Best Friend

Savannah is Devon and Everett's beautiful golden retriever.
{my sister in law & brother in law}.
Savannah was a therapy dog for years.
Look at that face ~ who wouldn't want a visit from Savannah !?!
She had to retire this winter due to her own health problems.

She has been a good and faithful servant
with a
heart and smile of gold.

~ As Robert Brault so wonderfully writes ~
 . . .
"If animals could talk, the world would lose its best listeners."
 . . .
Sometimes my dog looks at me as if to say,
"Did you know that petting an animal is a wonderful way to relieve stress?"
 . . .
"Ever wonder where you'd end up if you took your dog for a walk
and never once pulled back on the leash?
 . . .
"My dog and I have enjoyed many a silence together,
a conversation always resumed exactly where left off."
 . . .
"If you don't feel a bond with the animals who share with us
this moment in eternity, you don't comprehend eternity."
 . . .

Wishing Savannah a gentle retirement and a return to good health.
God bless Dev and Ev for letting Savannah bring JOY to so many.
a gift of love ♥
 . . .

A warm welcome to my dear sweet family and friends!

Have a Sweet Sunday everyone!

  6. Sweet Savannah! Her beautiful face shows pure sweetness. You added the most wonderful quotes again, dearest Maria! And that cute cute little picture at the bottom is oh so adorable too, The warmest Hello, it suits you perfectly!
One fine day we will welcome a Toller {Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever} in our home. But not before Vinciane en Bresten will turn 10 years so my little monkeys can walk the doggie too. I do think our lovely dogs add so so soooo much to the daily life. To think about a sad little one and Lance {I would love to call our dog Lance} sitting near the sad child, just sitting there and giving priceless comfort.
But that's for later... for now, I wish you. my dearest, a most wonderful rest of your Sunday. Ours was very cccolddd. Lots of love xxxx

  11. Hey sweet Maria...
Oh it is hard to believe that January is gone...ah but now it's on to a month overflowing with love.
Speaking of which that happy, smiling face is completely adorable...and what an accomplishment! They give us unconditional LOVE, holding nothing back. May she have a long retirement filled with much sun bathing, many juicy bones and long ear scratches daily...hugs...Rosie

  13. Just heard on the news that extremely icy and cold weather is expected in a big part of the USA. If I'm not mistaken, it includes your lovely corner. Be safe, Maria. They spoke about upcoming historical weather! I do hope Mr. Weather will be kind to everyone.
    Much love xxxx

  15. What a sweet friend! She is beautiful--and obviously well-loved. We are still mourning the loss of our sweet Peke, Mitzi, after 14 years of faithful love and devotion. She lived a long and very happy life! It never ceases to amaze me how our animal friends can just wrap themselves around our hearts.
