Triumphant Tulips

Rock, Paper, Scissors
Winter, Tulips, Snow
Tulips win!

Thank goodness I prepared for today's weather
making sure I had those tulips on my table
to keep us smiling indoors!

It's spring fever.  That is what the name of it is.
And when you've got it, you want - oh,
you don't quite know what it is you do want,
but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!
~Mark Twain

I love spring anywhere,
but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden.

No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow.

Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush.

  1. Your vase and tulips are just breathtaking. This morning my sweet neighbor CeCe brought me a couple stalks of orchids from her yard. They are on my coffee table, and bring a smile to my face.

Made Peanut butter cookies this morning ~ weather is cold, and I love to have the oven going on these kinds of days.

You look darling ~~ you are such a cute "snow bunny"

  8. I love the quote by Mark Twain...so true!
We are buried in snow, too, and when the tulips start they way out of the ground with the lilly of the valley and all the other sweet flowers, the wait of this snowy winter, will be well worth it!
    Happy Pink Saturday!

  9. Happy Pink Saturday Maria Sweetie...
Oh my goodness what a gorgeous share this evening. It may be cold and dark outside, but the pink beauties are bright and alive indoors. I love the tulips in your pitcher. They just scream HAPPY.

I love seeing your garden bench, lots of snow, as tall as you for goodness sake. The photo of the wreath that has the cardinal to the side looking in towards the window is breathtaking. How beautiful that is. And his color is exquisite.

Stay warm sweet friend and have a glorious weekend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  10. Wow, the snow!! You are really more than knee deep. I must admit then, we are blessed this side of Atlantic, buds have appeared on my lilac tree, and despite the clouds, temperatures are mild (10C). Loved your tulips, too, what balm for the heart, so pretty. Take care, Maria, keep inside and warm. :-) xxx
