Otsego Lake - Glimmerglass State Park

On the road toward Glimmerglass State Park, New York
This is Central New York... Farms stretching across acres and acres
Broad sky views . . . Rolling hills
The lake is so peaceful. There are several cozy places to picnic or, you can set up for a crowd near the beach. This is the view from a quiet, tucked away area.Where we watched the seagulls glide along the water.

I had to republish this one, Blogg
er is having blog-listing problems!
Let's see if a republish works!

  1. It is just gorgeous Maria. We used to live near Glens Falls, NY in a little tiny town called Truthville. From my kitchen window I could see the Green Mountains of Vermont. We are coming to the time of year when I miss it. Once winter settles in - not so much :-)
    Have a blessed sunday Maria.

  4. Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing.

I use Google Reader, and both of your Glimmerglass posts showed up. Hopefully Blogger will get their bloglist fixed. I should add that to my blog.

When do you go back to school?

  8. Thanks everyone for stopping to see beautiful Glimmerglass State Park! When my children were little, we used to go every other weekend... sometimes my neighbor and I would take the kids for an afternoon (when gas was cheap ;o)

Diana, There is shore fishing and camping.
We used to camp there often... you could launch your own row boat years ago...but no longer from the campgrounds or picnic area... The only boat launch we know of is in Cooperstown...

Chris and I still find it irresistible ... We are unable to drive by without a stop to the park!
