Just a few lines of latitude . . .

What a difference a few latitude lines make!

Orlando, Florida:    28° 33' N     81° 23' W

I'm way up here in the capital region of NY.

One of my daughters is in Orlando Florida.
(She had to go there for work and sent me these photos from her cellphone Tuesday morning).

Both places are beautiful in their own way.

Find loveliness wherever you are.
...even if it's in a daydream of Orlando...

*Miss you Rachael ~ Wish we were there*

We're still enjoying the warm Valentine  Days of February
Tonight some fruit will be double dipping in melted dark chocolate

Dear Family & Friends,
I hope you're having a wonderful week!

Have you visited Sky Watch Friday lately?
You'll love what
did with their site!

  1. Hello, dear friend,
I have been watching the news about all the snowfall you folks up northeast have been getting. I think the snow is very beautiful! We get very little here in Central Texas, but we have had an unusually cold winter for us! Florida is looking good to me, too! Enjoy that chocolate dipped fruit, yummy! I hope you are having a good week! Vicki

  2. Hi Maria, I'll have photos similar to yours and Rachael's by tomorrow afternoon - I'm flying from snowy CO to Sarasota, FL.

  3. No doubt, the snow is lovely. BUT...the palm trees look a sight prettier right now! Spring is just around the proverbial corner, yes?

  4. Ah Maria, I love your grateful, contented heart. I won't tell you that it was sunny and in the 60's here today. Instead I'll just say if you want a bit of warmth and sunshine - come visit!
The funny thing about our weather is - there was ice on the birdbath yesterday morning! It changes so quickly!

  5. Thats what I have been doing today...dipping strawberries in chocolate! It is amazing how the weather differs..here, the elevation drops to the south of us and it can go from 35* to 50* in St. George...amazing! Come say hi :D

  12. Hey Maria,
Love it that you guys are still enjoying Valentine's. The pictures make me want to go OFF my "healthy eating plan." Not that fruit and dark chocolate are unhealthy, mind you. It's just that once I start I wouldn't be able to stop. Enjoy your break.
    Sweet blessings,
    D.

  20. Oh yes, a couple steps east/west north/south can make all the difference.

Hope you are finding some fun things to amuse yourself with while waiting for spring.

  26. The devil is in the details, even in longitude and latitude. Your photos look much like the scene outside my window even now, nearly a week later.

  27. While both the places look beautiful, there's a wide contrast between the feel and weather...

    Awesome comparative pics...
