Yes, we must remember. It is actually on my mind daily - I have a young friend serving now. My father -in-law (86) served in WWII. Sometimes I think if our government leaders were required to be present whenever our soldiers are brought home in flag-draped coffins, better decisions would be made.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet Maria. It was my honor to protect and defend Patriots like you and your family. Thank you for posting your heart felt message.

Maria, This was very moving. Thank you for taking the time to put together this posting and this collage on Veteran's Day. There just can't be enough thank yous and enough reminders for what they do each day for our freedom and protection.

A very well done post Maria...
ReplyDeleteHello Maria!
ReplyDeleteYour post for Veterans Day is very touching.
I have had to stop and deeply think about our military and those that willingly defend our country and our rights.
It's nice to meet you through blogging. Thank you for coming by and saying hello. Hope you'll visit again.
God Bless,
d
Hey Maria, this is one of your best posts ever, I think. The picture of the yellow ribbon, the angle on the tree and sky, just gave a whole other dimension to my thoughts about all of this. That picture is incredible. I posted a small thank you on Monday of this week and forgot until last night that I had a picture of the ship my dad came home on after WWII. It is on my blog now.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the time and energy it took to put this together. Dianne
I'm a little late getting here, but the post is wonderful. Thanks.

Thank you everyone! I wish I could take credit for the yellow ribbon photo... I couldn't find the original... it's out there on a few posts though...
ReplyDeleteThe collage is from Reader's Digest photos that are in a copy I found while sorting 'the ones you want to keep' ...
They are still and always will be very moving to me.
Thank you all for stopping by ♥
