Doing the Bunny Hop After Easter!

Easter was a Glorious Day
 Sun and Son
made it perfect!

*
I made two more Swedish Tea Rings

and lots of
{tempting}

My brother and sister-in-law hosted.
Family * Food * Fun
~ ~ ~
Monday morning
Chris and I were off to my hometown
to bring Dad back home.
We talked and talked all the way home.
But then there's that
Maria part of the trip.

A stop to Pires Flower Basket.

Springtime wreaths on every door.
pussy-willows, pansies, daffodils and tulips

{these came home with me}
I fell in love with that color!

...On the way home...
{traveling east on I-88}

hills and valleys and farms

...fill the senses...

...with the sunshine...

that followed us home
*
We returned to our home at 5:30 just as Rachael pulled in the driveway...
She was ready
to dig in to the exciting world
of tax prep.

As we ate a quick dinner of spaghetti and meatballs ~ I thought of a Robert Brault quote:

"You'll never have a more enjoyable Italian meal than on the Saturday night after Thanksgiving."

It seems to work for the day after Easter too!

It was certainly a Bunny Hoppin' Day!

Dear Family and Friends,
I hope you had a wonderful Easter...
Filled with
Sun and Son
Have a wonderful Week.
{without too much hoppin'}

  2. Good morning sweet Maria, I loved the tour. The environment is amazingly stunning! Cannot wait for my children to grow a little older and visit your beautiful country.

    A most wonderful week for you and your lovely family!
    Today we have a lot of sunshine, adore it. Doing some laundry right now, and then I'm off to my table in the garden to enjoy a nice cup of coffee, watching Celeste and Quinten play with the ball and some chalk, no no, not the candy chalk this time ;)
    Much love,
    Saskia

  3. Surprisingly it was a good Easter. Very good. Ate too much and had a great time with my son and his family. I am dying to buy some more flowers! I have seeds to plant though and may do that today. Those cookies looked great! Love Di ♥

  5. Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
    The cookies were so easy to make... My daughter, Amanda brought some home for Easter and they were gone by Saturday! We made a fast batch Sat. night & she showed me how easy they were...

    Shopping list:

    1 box of sugar cookie mix
    {I used Krusteaz - no hydro-oils used}

    1 egg

    1 stick butter, melted

    1 cup flaked sweetened coconut

    1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts

    EASY and YUMMY!

  7. Maria darling, glad to hear you had a brilliant Sun to Son time, good for you. Your surroundings are amazing my luv and so are the flowers photos you posted. I find it deliciously funny that all bloggers carry their cameras at all time and snap away at the moment's notice. Hey, a girl has to do what a girl needs to do for her blog!! I am planning to finally try my Aunt Millie's Victoria cake recipe tomorrow. I am a good baker but not when it comes to V cake, mine always turns out dry and tasteless. Now with Auntie's recipe I am hoping the results will be different, wish me luck. Have a lovely week my friend.

    Love & Hugs

  10. Thank you sweet friend for your lovely caring comments for my Sydney and her migraines...they have been a concern for some time now...she has had them for 2 years on and off...we thought she was over them as she has not had one full blown one for many months..but the weekend came and so did a migraine. We have been to the Dr. many times...they want to put her on RX med for her to take everyday..but I do not want her to start that if she does not need to. Seeing her pain is about once a month now.
    I so appreicate all the love out here in blogland...so many lovely people concerned...it really is overwhelming...a true blessing. I got tons of good advice.
    Hugs to you for your love...you really really are a sweet sweet friend.
    Oh Sydney is feeling much better right now...so hope that is the end of it for now...I think a lot of it has to do with stress...dance competition is very stressful.
