Frosting Cupcakes {Vicariously}

I watched this
...just for the fun of it...
and then, I remembered that
still has her Wilton cake decorating kit tucked away
here at home!

After three viewings, I made a small sample of buttercream.
practice and practiced.
It's not as easy as it looks!
...I love her soft, sweet British accent...

I'm making these tutorials a favorite!
oh and you'll love these two lovely ladies as well!
~ Yvonne has the most beautiful blog Stone Gable where she nurtures creativity ~
I discovered MonsterMom through Foodie Friday.
She makes the most incredible cupcakes!
It's Saturday!
Off for a second cup
and to
tidy - tidy - tidy!
Enjoy your Saturday
dear family and friends!

Hi, Maria! My daughter and I took a cake decorating class a year or so ago. We had so much fun! I learned a lot. My other daughter's former boss puts in a request from time to time for one of my cakes--not because they are so pretty, but because she loves buttercream frosting! Your post makes me want to pull out my cake decorating supplies and get busy making a cake--or cupcakes!

Have a wonderful day!

My mom always said, "Let's tidy up"--so that really brings back memories. Hope you enjoyed that second cup of coffee to the fullest.

I haven't stopped in to see you all week. I love the new header photo and spring pictures. Lovely! Thanks for recommending Stone Gable. I just added it to my bookmark list to enjoy later. My 8 year old really wants to decorate cakes and she loved the video. We are out of town for a few weeks but I will enjoy catching up with you again later.

Maria, this is truly amazing. What' wrong with me...I don't have a bone in my body that creates like that.
I love to eat it...but oh my...kudos to you. You are one master at creativity, but I love to come back and see what you are up to.
I'm the type who would hire someone like you...Oh Joy!

Hey Maria,
You asked about the tornadoes. They have been all around us and night before last we were told that one was headed straight for the Little Rock area when it was about 30 or 45 minutes away. It changed directions and hit south of the city where it is more sparsely populated.

I stayed in the walk-in closet for 30 minutes or so with the sirens sounding the whole time. Last night there were numerous funnel clouds that just never touched down. One very close to my sister and one very close to my aunt--so it has been a nerve-wracking couple of days here.

It looks as though we are going to have better weather the next few days although extremely hot for this time of year with highs around 90. We may have some storms brewing that that kind of heat.

Thank you for your concern, precious friend.

I actually bought a decorating kit when I was in Florida at Sur la Table. I practice with it this weekend for the first time. I'm not all that good yet, but they tasted good and they did turn out pretty, if not perfect. Practice, practice!
