It looks so pretty, doesn't it!
If you add a little spice from India
{cinnamon & garlic *you can add ginger & curry too}
...it will taste awesome...
Add a quart of chicken stock {I use organic low sodium or my own}.
Then...about a quart more water.

Don't forget the Parmesano Reggiano!
It looks so healthy and yummy. I don't cook enough with lentiles and I should as they are not very costly.
ReplyDeleteHappy pink weekend
Oh! I wrote a long comment and lost it. Where did it go? Anyway - I first want to compliment you on the lovely tea service in the Header. It makes me think spring even though we have a foot of snow here in Denver. Also, that lentil soup would taste great on a snowy, blustery day. I may have to venture to the market tomorrow for the ingredients. Have a restful weekend, Maria.

Lentils are always in a glass canister in my kitchen, Maria. They make a great substitute for meat in spaghetti sauce to! I just may follow your recipe today, too big of a coincidence, that I have everything necessary. I make lentil soup and butternut soup all the time, but never combined. Thanks for the recipe! ♥...Wanda
