  1. Wow! great message and reminds me of a story I wrote some years ago--may try to dig that thing up out of the archives.

Thanks, Maria, for reminding us in an ever so loving way that we have "cleaning" to do.

    Love, D.

  2. How true, Maria - I am continually wondering about my motives. Sometimes I wish they were purer! Time for a little spring-cleaning of my soul, I guess...

  3. Hi Maria, I'm sure your cleaning needs only to be done lightly.
I was coming to mention Barb and she was 1 step ahead of me!

  9. On a more mundane level I do try to help with the cleaning....it's just that spring hasn't arrived here yet.

  10. What a great message.

The wardrobe belonged to my in-laws, they made us take it 20 years ago. I don't love it, but it is certainly functional.

Thanks for all your great comments.

I need to copy this quote down.

  12. It is good to sit in a quiet place and do some emotional spring cleaning. The little prayer is nice, but it is our responsibility to wipe the cobwebs from our soul, God after all, gave us free will to chose what we think and how we live our lives. Many things we accumulate in the larder of our memory which are outdated or no longer apply. Values, often from childhood, which are not our own and only make us guilty when we transgress them. Just like used paper plates after a party, put them in the bin, they have outlived their use and can be dispensed with.
It is good to periodically do this house cleaning and let go with love that which no longer serves us. It saves us from a lot of guilt trips. Guilt seeks punishment and why should we flagellate ourselves tor someone else's ideas of right ond wrong?

    Just think about it.
    Love Arija.

  13. "...let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin {debris, cobwebs} that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
    Hebrews 12:1

For me, healthy guilt is a catalyst, a conduit for change, it opens my heart to others.

Thank you everyone ~ I appreciate all your thoughtful comments.
