Beautiful Veils

There is a soft, cool breeze flowing through voile curtains

Another veil is also flowing through my mind.

Never before seen photos of my mother were recently sent to my brother.
They are are a treasure to us.

I have a list a mile long to get through today..but all fun! My husband and my girls are gone with my husband to the daddy weekend...a weekend every summer where all the dads and kids go camping...I think the numbers are up to 25...they have been doing this for 18 years...us moms are glad to stay home! Even my married daughter still goes with her new husband. One day I will post about this crazy event.

    Hugs sweet one.

Oh Maria! Those voile curtains took me back in two ways, to the vail picture we both shared as daughters admiring our mom's wedding picture and then to the house we grew up in where cool breezes would slip through the windows dancing with voile curtains decorated by our mom. Thank you for the beautiful memories! Love you! Doreen

  11. I love having the windows open and letting the breezes fill the curtains and the house (we don't get to do that much in the summer!). What a priceless gift that picture is Maria. She looks so lovely.
    Have a blessed sunday.

  12. Maria Maria . How breathtaking !
I love those moments making you very quiet .....
    just enjoy enjoy enjoy .....
I love when a soft breeze makes something move gently and your eyes are seeing it and your soul is touched by it .
In my classroom I have a big branch from an old grape......
    hanging above the table .
With golden yarn I hang up little things like paper birds or a crystal or a feather or... nice things we find on our way ....
And than .... when we are eating and sitting around the table .... you can see the faces of the children dreaming away by the soft movements ......
    Have a wonderfull sunday .
    X

  15. Just an answer to your question about the ice cream. Sorry Maria, I have looked and I've only found the recipe changed by using eggs, heavy cream, etc but still they use an ice cream maker. it might be worth trying to just freeze it after its mixed. It's such a small amount of ingredients that it wouldn't hurt to try .

  16. soooooooooooo beautiful! i kept thinking of that scripture..."For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."
