Tea with Elizabeth and Darcy

I'm watching Pride and Prejudice
again
for the millionth time.
Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet

Such a great romance

~ a time when taking someone's hand sent chills ~

There was pride.
~
There was prejudice.

[After Lizzy - to her own surprise - has agreed to dance with Mr. Darcy]

Elizabeth Bennet: Did I just agree to dance with Mr. Darcy?
Charlotte Lucas: I daresay you will find him to be very amiable.
Elizabeth Bennet: That would be most inconvenient since I have sworn to loathe him for all eternity.

but
There was love.

Elizabeth: After what you have done for Lydia, and I suspect for Jane also, it is I who should be making amends.
Mr. Darcy: You must know, surely you must know, it was all for you. You are too generous to trifle with me. I believe you spoke with my aunt last night and it has taught me to hope as I had scarcely allowed myself before. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings had changed, I will have to tell you, you have bewitched me body and soul and I love...I love... I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.
Elizabeth Bennet: Well then... [takes Mr. Darcy's hands and kisses them] Your hands are cold.

  5. Ooooh. I want to watch this wonderful movie again! It is so romantic!

I love your addition to my Miss Marshie story. That picture is actually a picture of my 21 year old son- So, that character will have to be a guy.:)

He is now in the story.

Please let me know if you have any more ideas, as long as you don't mind if I use them later. :)

Thank you, you have a great imagination!

  7. I have never read the book nor watched the movie. I guess I am going to "have to" now. You make it seem so appealing!

Glad you had a good fourth. It really wasn't as busy around here as it seemed. We had some down time which is always good.

When do you start back to school or did I just say a "no-no?"

  8. Now I know what you're doing over summer vacation. I approve! PS You must dry the seed heads of the Poppies (just put them in the sun after their bloom). Throw the seeds out either in the late fall or early spring. I sow mine on top of the first snow that will last in the fall - the seeds are watered by the melting snow in the spring.

This is one I could watch a thousand times and still giggle...I miss my dear friends so very much...soon life will slow down...and Chit Chats will become a daily occurrence, once again...sending you "X" and a "O"...love Rosie

  12. Ah, those Victorians. Have you read "the Victorian Construction of Womanhood?" (if I recall the title correctly)

  13. Yes...poor Koralee was the victim...Thankfully...she has a tough stomach...and a forgiving heart...Hey, but the silver lining is, that there are lots left to share...:)
    ....love you...Rosie
